New minor release: visual fixes and slightly faster loading

This afternoon we released a new update to Conclave. It includes some changes designed to make the game a little faster to load, particularly for new players and ones on slower connections. While we were at it, we fixed up a few rough spots in the user interface. The one that we're happiest about is an improvement to how the Vault of Arms, character sheets, and other overlays work on smartphones' small screens. Before, the overlays were difficult to view in their entirety because attempts to scroll them would often affect the background instead; now scrolling should work as you'd expect, and you can zoom and pan around them like the rest of the interface. There's more we want to do in the future to make Conclave better on mobile devices, but in the meantime we think this is a big step in the right direction.

Because of the changes, you might notice your browser downloading some images and other assets the first time you play after the release. After that they'll be cached, and the game should render a little faster whenever you play in the future. Let us know if you run into any problems!

I've recently started having problems with the game loading much slower, when processing commands. Posting here since it matches the timetable of the update, so might be a bug.

The release didn't include any changes to action-taking, but an automatic round of database cleaning did run late last night and early this morning (Eastern time), and it's possible that slowed things down a bit. If things continue to be noticeably slower as the day goes on, let us know.

Still seems to going on. Details I've noticed: 1. Issue is intermittent (occurs about 70% of the time). 2. My mouse cursor usually changes from a pointer to a hand when hovering over a link, such as clicking on the commands. There is a delay in this now when on a combat screen. 3. Sometimes, the screen will lag while moving pieces/updating status effects in combat.

Judging from those symptoms, something is bogging down your browser. We'll follow up with some debugging questions over email.

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue? Our monitoring tools aren't showing any overall performance problems, but they're not always granular enough to catch ones that are specific to certain setups.
